At center as main motif, an equilateral triangle, international symbol for Protection and Prevention, inside it the legend "50 AÑOS", and behind it, two crossed anchors. Over the triangle the symbols for ground, air and sea, through which, Mexico's Navy fulfills it's duty to assist civil population.
Ground is represented by a K-9 team formed by a Navy Seal and a Dog; mainly for search and rescue.
Air is represented by a helicopter; used to transport personnel, materials, and allows for the rescue in hard-to-access zones.
Lastly, Sea is represented by a logistic support vessel; which is used to transport supplies, gear and human resources.
On top in a semi-circle the legend "PLAN MARINA". With commemorative dates on left and right 1966-2016.- bimetallic - Weight  15.945 g - Diameter 32 mm
